Ingilor Nature Park launches mobile app for tourists
Ingilor Nature Park in the Yamal specially protected nature territory has launched a dedicated mobile app for visitors. The service provides a detailed map with information on key attractions and the lengths of hiking trails. Users can pre-plan specific routes and obtain official passes – individual, group or vehicle – according to the regional government’s press service.
The app works offline and tracks tourists’ GPS coordinates to alert emergency services in case of unforeseen situations.
“The new integrated digital service has been designed with tourists’ needs in mind. It will serve as a convenient tool, offering up-to-date information about the park’s opportunities through a variety of services,” said First Deputy Head of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area Alexander Kalinin.
He added that the app’s functionality will expand in the future to include rental equipment booking, northern lights forecasts and ratings of popular trails and attractions.
The app is fully integrated with the the internal systems of the Yamal Department of Natural Resources.
