The Russian government allocates 122 million rubles to Yakutia for medical aviation
The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) will receive 122 million rubles for the development of medical aviation. A directive to this effect has been signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Yakutia’s official news website reports.
According to the Republic’s head, Aisen Nikolayev, medical aviation is not just a division of the healthcare system but a vital tool for residents of Yakutia.
“For our Republic, this is more than just funds in support of the system. Medical aviation can deliver a patient in time from the remotest areas to major clinics, where doctors will save their lives and help them recover their health. Given our huge distances and forbidding climate, this is particularly important. I want to thank the Government of Russia for their attention to Yakutia’s needs. These funds will help to make emergency medical assistance even more within reach to people in all remote locations of our republic,” he said.
It is reported that the allocations will be forthcoming under the federal project approved with an eye to upgrading the system of emergency medical assistance.
