Boundaries of Arctic hectares to be adjusted in Krasnoyarsk Territory

The planned changes are intended to make participation more attractive, Chair of the Northern Committee of the Territory Legislative Assembly Lyudmila Magomedova announced at a meeting on the development of northern and Arctic territories.

According to Tatyana Magdibur, Minister of Economy and Regional Development, the initiative for adjustments came from the administrations of Norilsk and the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets Municipal District.

In Norilsk, 74 plots with a total area of more than 50 hectares have already been allocated under the program, which comprises 76 percent of the initially designated territory. The remaining land is either occupied by access roads or unsuitable due to marshy conditions. Given the growing demand for participation, authorities decided to designate an additional area of nearly 49 hectares northwest of the Talnakh administrative district.

In Dudinka, Taimyr District, 15 plots totaling about 17 hectares have been allocated. However, part of this area overlaps with Lake Samsonkino, the sole source of domestic and drinking water. To avoid potential risks, the decision was made to adjust the boundaries there as well.

In the village of Ust-Port, allocation of land plots will be temporarily suspended due to the absence of applications.

The draft law containing these amendments will be considered in two readings at the session of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Parliament on December 4.
