Murmansk Region to get nearly 20 billion rubles for healthcare in 2026
The allocated 19.9 billion rubles will be applied to render medical aid to uninsured categories of the population, children and elderly citizens, the press service of the regional Government reports.
According to the Murmansk Region Minister of Health Dmitry Panychev, over 8.6 billion rubles from the regional budget are provided for the payment of insurance premiums under the mandatory medical insurance program.
There are also plans to spend 707 million rubles on medical assistance not covered by medical insurance policies with 65 percent of the funds intended for palliative aid to the patients.
Almost 659 million rubles will be spent on high-tech medical aid, 88 percent of which will be funded by the regional budget.
A total of 1.4 billion rubles will be allocated for the purchase of new medical equipment, and 469.9 million rubles will be assigned for modernizing primary healthcare, including the delivery of a modular structure to the village of Yonsky.
In addition, 626 million rubles are to be paid for the major repair and equipment of the Severomorsk central regional hospital to be carried out on instructions from President Vladimir Putin and Murmansk Region Governor Andrei Chibis.
It is planned to spend 1.4 billion rubles for the support for the medical workers in 2026. These funds will go for compensations to those working under the Rural Doctor and Rural Paramedic programs, compensation for housing rent as well as support in purchasing or building a home.
