A new draft law provides for adding 117 new hectares of land in five municipalities of the region, reports the Arkhangelsk Region Government press service.

The new lands were selected at the proposals by local self-government authorities and approved by the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and Arctic.

“Expansion of the program’s footprint will let us increase our land reserve, which means that more people will be able to receive a land plot for implementing their projects in the Arctic area of the region,” noted the Minister of Property Relations of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Smetanin.

The total area of the lands available for granting in the Arkhangelsk Region makes up 1,460 hectares. Since the program was launched, 983 people have embraced its opportunities.
