Year-round children’s camps to open in Arkhangelsk Region

Relevant amendments will be made to the law on organizing children’s recreation, health and activities, reads a press release of the regional government.

Children aged between six and half and 17 years will be offered free recreation at permanent camps not only during school holidays but round the year.

The implementation of the law will focus on improving educational programs, Arkhangelsk Region Governor Alexander Tsybulsky stated.

“There are plans for new themed sessions aimed at promoting the creative and intellectual talents of children, including those in difficult life situations,” the regional head has written in his Telegram account.

The first year-round camp will be Northern Artek, which will hold its first non-vacation session in December, before the January school holidays.
