Over 20 orphans got employment assistance in Karelia since start of year

Since the beginning of 2025, career centers in the Republic of Karelia have provided employment support measures to 23 orphans. Eleven of them have already landed jobs in healthcare, retail, food service, and public administration, the regional government’s press service announced.

“For each client, career advisers developed a customized employment assistance plan. It includes targeted support measures and services tailored to the individual’s needs,” Elena Frolova, Head of the Labor and Employment Department of the Republic of Karelia, said.

On top of that, orphans in the region qualify for the maximum unemployment benefit rate for six months. Furthermore, if they find employment before that six-month period is up, authorities provide a monthly supplementary payment matching the region’s average salary – 84,000 rubles.
