Russia and India set to invigorate their trade and investment cooperation in the Arctic and the Far East
Following the 23rd Russia-India Annual Summit ‘Russia-India: A Time-Tested Progressive Partnership, Anchored in Trust & Mutual Respect,’ President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi noted progress during cooperation on the Northern Sea Route, according to the Kremlin website.
“The Russian Side appreciated the participation of the Indian delegation in the 6th International Arctic Forum held in Murmansk in March 2025. The Indian Side expressed its readiness to play an active role as an Observer in the Arctic Council.”
Both leaders also noted that the program of Russian-Indian cooperation in the Far East (2024-2029) and the program on principles of cooperation in the Arctic zone facilitated subsequent joint work in the regions.
