Russia and India should expand their partnership, while manufacturing ice-resistant vessels, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov told RIA Novosti.

Manturov explained the need for building these vessels by the severe Arctic climate and geophysical environment.

“Joint construction of Arctic-class vessels can become a promising cooperation venue,” Manturov noted. Both countries are already negotiating this issue at a working group of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission, he added.
