A memorandum on training Chinese specialists in Arctic seamanship at Russian universities was signed in Hangzhou during Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s visit to China, as per the press service of the Russian Federal Agency for Sea and Inland Water Transport.

The document reflects the common striving of Russia and China to expand partnership in the merchant marine sector and to expand the HR potential for navigating ships via the Northern Sea Route.

Education institutions of the Federal Agency for Sea and Inland Water Transport will train Chinese citizens. Apart from theoretical courses, the sailors will operate specialized simulators, thus improving their skills.
