Government includes Far Eastern Federal District regions in territorial planning scheme for healthcare

The new scheme was developed taking into account the provisions of the Strategy for the Spatial Development of Russia until 2030, with a forecast through 2036. According to the government press service, the document is aimed at improving citizens’ access to healthcare.

The updated scheme includes 136 medical organizations, 24 of which are located in the Far Eastern Federal District.

These organizations include multidisciplinary hospitals and clinics for children and adults, rehabilitation centers, oncology clinics, and new buildings for existing medical institutions.

The new document also provides for the arrangement of research centers and production facilities for medical devices and high-tech pharmaceuticals.
