Government endorses comprehensive plans to develop backbone communities in the Arctic
The plans provide for upgrading and improving existing public areas, as well as building new ones, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said during a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers on current issues.
In drawing up the federal budget, at least 5 percent of funds from the relevant state programs will be allocated for their implementation. The regions will also take due account of these expenses in their fiscal plans.
“Efficient execution of these plans will create more comfortable conditions for life, work and tourism in the Arctic,” stressed Mikhail Mishustin.
