The Arctic in Figures 2025 is dedicated to the development of the Russian Arctic. The main emphasis has been made on the five-century history of the Northern Sea Route and its importance for developing the Arctic and the entire Russia, reports the Murmansk Region Government press service.

“One can retrace all the epochs: from the first attempts to traverse the ice fields to the present, when each year the cargo turnover sets new records and most up-to-date icebreakers are launched,” noted the commission head and Murmansk Region Governor Andrei Chibis.

A considerable portion of the materials concern the prospects of developing core communities in the Russian Arctic which provide for implementing the national strategic objectives in the northern territories.
