Yury Trutnev chairs meeting of Presidium of Government Commission for the Development of the Far East

The main item on the agenda was amendments to the plans for the development of economic growth centers.

“The Presidential unified subsidy for the Far East has made it possible to build and renovate more than 2,000 social facilities across the region, including 138 projects this year alone. We will continue to strengthen our focus on the efficient and timely use of budget funds,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.

As part of this discussion, the meeting participants approved the allocation of federal funding for 2026-2028 to support master plan projects and other initiatives in Buryatia, Yakutia, the Trans-Baikal Territory, Kamchatka, the Primorye Territory, the Khabarovsk Territory, the Amur and Magadan regions, the Jewish Autonomous Region, and Chukotka.

The meeting participants also discussed changes to the mechanism for providing state support to legal entities implementing investment projects in the Far East. In all, 15 major projects across eight regions of the Far Eastern Federal District were selected to receive subsidies.
