Murmansk is the Capital of the Arctic registered as a trademark
The Murmansk is the Capital of the Arctic and Murmansk is the Capital of the Russian Arctic trademarks have been officially registered, Murmansk Region Governor Andrey Chibis announced in his MAX channel.
This is how President of Russia Vladimir Putin described the city in his welcome remarks at the International Arctic Forum held in Murmansk on March 26-27.
“When the President said this at the International Arctic Forum, it became clear that this was not just a slogan but a symbol of the entire Russian Arctic. So, we decided to make it official,” he wrote.
According to the Governor, the Arctic has long become a nation-wide brand.
“As all strong brands, we are working for the economy, for brand recognition, for investment. The phrase Murmansk is the Capital of the Arctic should reflect this region’s real positioning, including internationally,” Andrey Chibis added.
