The Tretyakov Gallery building on Kadashevskaya Embankment, Moscow, will house the Arctic: A Pole of Color exhibition, which is set to open on December 13, 2025. The display will include over 130 works across various genres and techniques, such as painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, ethnographic artifacts, and multimedia installations.The exhibition will feature miniature bone icons dating back to the 18th - 19th centuries, works by early artist travelers in the Arctic, including Alexander Borisov, Konstantin Korovin and others, as well as works created by Soviet and modern authors, including participants in polar expeditions led by Fyodor Reshetnikov, Mitrofan Beringov, and Igor Ruban.The organizers will focus on artworks by Nenets artists Tyko Vylka and Konstantin Pankov, whose creations reflect an authentic perspective on the Arctic.
