In September, 450 specialists, now studying under a targeted admission, will start working at hospitals and outpatient clinics of the Khabarovsk Territory. An additional 716 students continue their studies, and they will swell the ranks of medical personnel soon, as per the press service of the territorial Governor and Government.The head of the region, Dmitry Demeshin, met with future doctors, now undergoing a summer-time advanced training course at the Voino-Yasenetsky City Hospital, and wished them successful careers.The future medical specialists praised good working conditions during their advanced training and noted that the hospital featured all the required medications and disposable materials.The Voino-Yasenetsky City Hospital has now turned into a full-fledged clinical facility with hi-tech equipment and effective mentors. All this makes it possible to train top-level specialists.“We have already provided the hospital with modern equipment and all essential medications. We currently prioritize entirely different professional levels of our doctors,” the head of the region noted.Today, 28 students who have enrolled under a targeted hospital-sponsored program are educated at the Far Eastern State Medical University; an additional 11 interns are completing their courses in surgery, therapy, urology and radiography.The elimination of shortages of medical personnel in the Far East remains a high-priority objective, set before the regions by President Vladimir Putin.
