Governor of the Republic of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov, met with Mongolian representatives during events of the Altargana-2026 Festival and discussed key aspects of strengthening economic ties. Addressing the Mongolian representatives,Alexei Tsydenov suggested expanding joint projects at the Ulan-Ude Stalmost Plant, the largest enterprise in Siberia and Russia’s Far East.While discussing the personnel training issue, the Governor of Buryatia noted that the region was currently implementing a pro bono program for training educators, including Mongolian students. Alexei Tsydenov suggested expanding cooperation in this sphere, including a project to train aviation specialists.Additionally, the parties discussed the operation of an automobile border crossing point in Kyakhta within the framework of developing transborder cooperation for expanding transits between three countries: Russia, Mongolia and China.

Governor of the Republic of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov, met with Mongolian representatives during events of the Altargana-2026 Festival and discussed key aspects of strengthening economic ties. Addressing the Mongolian representatives,Alexei Tsydenov suggested expanding joint projects at the Ulan-Ude Stalmost Plant, the largest enterprise in Siberia and Russia’s Far East.
“It is possible to expand projects with Mongolian businesses (that would be interested in manufacturing metal structures for Mongolian consumers) at the plant’s facilities,” the head of the region stressed.
While discussing the personnel training issue, the Governor of Buryatia noted that the region was currently implementing a pro bono program for training educators, including Mongolian students. Alexei Tsydenov suggested expanding cooperation in this sphere, including a project to train aviation specialists.
“This year, we are starting to train helicopter pilots, and we can enroll a group of Mongolian students. Helicopter pilots are trained on a paid basis because this is a prestigious area of activity, and because this is one of the best-paying careers today,” he added.
