When launched, the center for training qualified developers, engineers, managers, designers and bio-information experts will create new career opportunities for Kamchatka Territory residents and will become a point of attraction for developing the IT sector.
According to the press service of the territorial government, the School21 educational campus will be sitedin the historical central section of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky inside a 550 square meter facility. At first, the school is to enroll 30 students. The project will kick off with the support of Sberbank under a cooperation agreement between the region and the company.

“When School21 opens, the young people of Kamchatka will be able to obtain an essential education free of charge by studying from home and to build a successful career,” Kamchatka Territory Governor Vladimir Solodov said.

Anyone aged 18 and more can enroll after being successfully selected for enrollment. Education is completely free, and the project’s main advantage is that prospective students are accepted without prior computer programing experience; they can master a popular profession from scratch. A three-month advanced training course at a specialized company is a mandatory requirement.
The academic process will utilize Sberbank’s advanced experience and expertise; this will make it possible to introduce modern digital solutions in the region.
“The selection procedure and the academic process are difficult, but the results speak for themselves: 100 percent of our graduates are employed at major companies and startups across the country. They are in high demand at Sberbank and on the market,” Sberbank Management Board Chair German Gref noted.
