The Duma of the Chukotka Autonomous Area heard the annual report on the 2025 budget execution. According to the press service of the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Area, regional revenues exceeded parameters of the previous year by almost ten billion rubles.While pursuing national projects, the regional authorities improved public areas and commissioned 86 residential facilities to replace rundown housing; they also started building a kindergarten in the town of Ugolniye Kopi. A new kindergarten was completed in Anadyr, and schools were overhauled in Provideniya and Ryrkaipiy. A hospital school opened at Anadyr Hospital, and a traveling kindergarten started catering to nomadic families in the village of Anguema.In 2025, 37 teachers arrived in the area; they are eligible for lump sum allowances ranging from 100,000 to 1.5 million rubles; their living conditions continue to improve, and their salaries are also increased.A district hospital in the village of Vaegi and an outpatient clinic in the village of Amguema were also overhauled. New equipment and five vehicles were purchased for maternity hospitals and rehabilitation centers. Incentives and competitive salaries made it possible to attract 59 doctors into the region.Chukotka actively introduces digital technologies, including long-distance monitoring, electronic forms and records, telemedical consultations with federal clinics, and artificial intelligence.With the governor’s support, local authorities resolved the issue of medication deliveries to remote villages; local pharmacies now offer a greater assortment of goods, and a four-month medications reserve has been established.In all, 265 business managers controlling 15 percent of all local small and medium-sized businesses also received support. This is almost 100 percent more than average Far East average. In 12 months, the number of Chukotka’s businesspersons increased by 122 and exceeded 1,700.
